In The Morning

Morning Ya'll!!!
This look was inspired by the amazing artist Rita Ora! I finally listened to her music and I love it.
However, It is her edgy and sexy style that I love most. Especially, when she wears a bold red lip...I totally melt! Its refreshing to see a young artist dress fun and fearless and not too old for her age. When I dress I like to look young and funky. It is important to me not to take my self to seriously because then I am going to hate what I am wearing. Ha.

One of The Boys

It is just one of those days when I want to crawl under my blanket and not come out. Is that okay? Am I allowed to have these moments where I feel like the world is coming down on me? Yes, I am pretty much a drama queen but I can't seem to shake the icky feeling.

Anywho, I finally bought a crisp white shirt! I was so excited when I found it because I really needed one for my wardrobe. I think I should invest in more button downs. Even though they aren't really my style, they are good items to have and they are super comfy. I could totally live in them, plus you can never have too many business casual items. That is how I look at shopping now since I am on such a tight budget. I only look for quality items that can last me through all seasons and can be paired with a variety of items. This rule does not apply to shoes ha...shoes I just pick and chose what I want.
I never usually borrow my mom's bags but how else could I complete this look? There is something so classic about the monogrammed Louis Vuitton bags. Despite all the counterfit purses seen on the street, they still have that luxurious classic look for any age. I usually am not a fan of huge bags but it truely is convenient to throw everything in one and run out the door. I must say Louis Vuitton may have changed my preference.

Drowning

Just got in from my mini vacation and I am totally exhausted. Talk about lack of sleep....I literally feel like the walking dead. Anyway, My trip to Orlando was not all peachy and walks in the park. It was totally a sham..ha. The best part of it all was probably seeing my favorite Xmen and Harry Potter at Universal Studios. My next vacation must be kid free....actually scratch that it must be a spa vaction, maybe even a yoga retreat. A trip that I can actually relax and not think of work.

These photo's were taken about a month or two ago. I've been dying to share them because it was such a fun shoot and my inspiration was one of my favorite bloggers. (check her out here Stylorectic)
I totally love her style, wrinting, and overall blog! I chose this one piece because I believe there is something effortlessly sexy and chic about black one pieces, especially high cut. Not only is it flattering on all figures I also believe a little modesty can be sexy sometimes. I am all fo the string bikini, but sometimes a one piece can accentuate all the right curves.

The Cool

Feeling a little down lately, not sure why.
I finally got my hands on the Chanel Le Vernis in Peridot and I am loving it!!
Can't wait to put it on my toes before I got to Florida.
By the way, Happy Father's day...

My obsession with the supernatural is growing, I have so many ideas floating in my head. I am not sure if I should sketch them or write them. Oh the struggle! Its a mixture of vampires and aliens....weird? I guess its because I am dying to see Prometheus!! I heard its really good and my spidey senses are tingling.

The Cat's Meow

TGIF!! Today I met up with my friend to hit up the Rag & Bone sample sale. It was a beautiful day so I decided it was the perfect time to whip out the leapord print! Along with denim jackets, jumpsuits are a MUST for me. The simplicity of just slipping in and out of one item is what I love most. This jumpsuit is one of my favorite summer pieces because it shows off my curves especially my rump!! If you have not noticed I am all about the sex appeal.

I am totally obsessed with my friend's back because of her super cute tattoo. Hidden tattoos are super chic and sexy, so taking a picture of her back was a must! There was just something so effortlessly beautiful about the way it looked under the sheer top. Makes me consider getting my next tattoo somewhere back there!

Have a great weekend!! Creep On!

Summer Rain

It is supposed to rain today in NYC, however I do not want to wear pants! Ha, unusual right? There is just something I like about being dressed up in the rain....maybe a sense of romanticism. Maybe, it was Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst's scene in Spiderman that makes rain so romantic....or Breakfast at Tiffany's. WHO KNOWS!! No matter the weather, you should always dress to feel good, looking sloppy or "comfortable" wont't make you feel amazing. Denim Jackets are one of my wardrobe staples. I buy them twice a year because I usually wear them out pretty quickly. The more worn they look the happier I am.

Next week I am going on a family vacation to disney world. I am elated, escaping the city for a few days is like music to my ears. With all the things going on in my personal life I need time to escape the mourning and pain I have been feeling and seeing Peter Pan and Ariel will do just that for me! The main reason I started this blog was to cope with the pain of losing someone as well as express my passion for beauty and fashion. Blogging has helped me alot in my spiritual and emotional growth and I would not give it up for the world.

Power Puff

Good Morning!!
Finally, my hair can fit in a ponytail!! So excited, when I had long hair I loved wearing my hair in a bun, but my little puff shall do for now. Unlike some ladies, dresses are my comfort zone. I am the girl that when I want to get out of the door quickly I will throw on a dress. Not to mention maxi dresses are just so laidback and can easily be dressed up or dressed down. To make it more office appropriate I threw on this sweater to cover up my tattoos. I hate that I can not show my tattoos in the work place espeially when women walk around with these too small skirts that half ther ass is hanging out! AHHHH that makes my darn blood boil.
I know it is summer and bright colors are the norm, but after seeing the fall runway shows I am addicted to plum and other dark lip shades. I love the way it looks on my skin and I find it extremely sexy. I just love the darkness in life all year round...I guess thats the one staple in my style is keeping my makeup either simple or a little dark i.e smokey eye or dark lips and loads of mascara.

Heart of Glass

Finally my laptop is fixed!!!! Ahhhh it feels so good to be blogging again. Anywho, this outfit is at least 3 weeks old. It was during the week it rained like a monsoon in New York City and the wind was massive. More importantly I love this dress because not only is it super comfy it makes me feel sexy without being super tight or short. Its important to look professional at work but every woman wants to feel sexy and no you do not have to bear it all! I have seen some borderline outfits in corporate america which have made me cringe, but to each her own!!

Now for a little update, I have finished my internships at Allure Magazine and Lancome. I am pretty sad I miss the girls, the work, and all the fun I had. My passion for the fashion/beauty industry has increased so much throughout my time working and it just keeps me motivated to keep working towards my goals. Now I am working at Bumble and bumble PR which is super exciting. Totally different environment and a much more independent position. I am truly happy with my professional life these days and would encourage anyone to follow their heart's desire and absolutely nothing else. It is much more important to be happy with your career than to do something just to get by.

Happy Sunday!!! Keep following your bliss!!
