First Saturday

Bonjour!
It is my first weekend back at school, and I must admit I am totally homesick.
However, today was quite fun. The  town I attend school hosts an event called First Saturday and the surrounding schools perform, host tables, stores give discounts, etc. It was the perfect opportunity to take my mind off all the negative emotions I have been harboring and enjoy the weather with my friends. I also ran into a girl with AMAZING HAIR. I love people who take risks and have cool, colorful, fun style. The young lady I met had multi color hair and I totally fell in love with her. I pretty much ambushed her and begged her to let me take her picture. Usually, I don't meet many people here with such fun style and personalities, it was so refreshing to meet someone so nice and bold. Anywho, we ended our day with the local thrift shop. It is so cozy and loveable. They always have such unique items. I purchased a ring and a necklace that I will share later on. Also, they have really cool knick knacks and photos that I want to go back and purchase. That is the beauty of attending school in a small town are the little mom and pop shops that house such cute and unique items.

Follow Me

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlehuice!
haha ok no this outfit is nowhere near similar to Beetlejuice, but the makeup gives it a Goth edge am I right? There is just something about plum lip colors that make me go crazy! I love punk, goth, edgy style PERIOD, so it's a no brainer for me to gravitate to dark color everything. I have been obsessed since I was a kid, I'm not sure how it started but I remember begging my mom to take me into hot topic every mall trip. I would try to emulate the girls in the music videos by wearing fishnets, denim skirts, crazy tights, spikes, etc. I felt so cool in my skirt and pants combo, like I was the trendsetter and my peers were a tad bit behind on the fashion trends. All the Teen Vogue issues I read and Harper's Bazaar copies I would sneak I thought I knew everything about fashion. Well, not everything but I did learn that fashon should be fun and fearless! Isn't that what editorial shoots are for? To inspire the reader to step outside his or her boundaries; express their creativity through their own style? No matter what your preference is when it comes to dressing you should never be afraid to express yourself. It is all about the confidence! If you do not feel comfortable strutting your stuff in what you are wearing do not wear it. Follow your own bliss, not the masses.

Vamp meets Sid Vicious

Morning Creeps!
First and foremost I must apologize for stealing a photo from my instagram.
My laptop is currently having technical difficulties that I cannot explain. I am probably the most un tech savy blogger EVER! Haha

Yesterday at my internship (Bumble and bumble) I received their new product Hairdresser's Invisible oil. I loved it and it works marvelously. As you know my hair is natural and color treated, so dry frizzy hair is one of my major hair issues. Fear not, Hairdresser's Invisible oil saved me from my problems. Not only is my hair soft to the touch, it smells delightful and my hair did not sizzle at all when I curled it. This product is a must have for all hair types, especially color treated hair.

I created this look by pinning up my hair trying to emulate Sid Vicious. Years, ago Teen Vogue had an editorial featuring androgynous looks, and Sid was one of their inspirations. I loved it and now that my hair is longer I had no choice to succumb to my inner tomboy. Although I am a girly girl especially when it comes to beauty, I LOVE being one of they boys. Boyfriend jeans and baggy vnecks are my favorite items to splurge on. However, no matter how much of a tomboy I am I love to add a little femininty to my look a la make up.

In The Morning

Morning Ya'll!!!
This look was inspired by the amazing artist Rita Ora! I finally listened to her music and I love it.
However, It is her edgy and sexy style that I love most. Especially, when she wears a bold red lip...I totally melt! Its refreshing to see a young artist dress fun and fearless and not too old for her age. When I dress I like to look young and funky. It is important to me not to take my self to seriously because then I am going to hate what I am wearing. Ha.

Drowning

Just got in from my mini vacation and I am totally exhausted. Talk about lack of sleep....I literally feel like the walking dead. Anyway, My trip to Orlando was not all peachy and walks in the park. It was totally a sham..ha. The best part of it all was probably seeing my favorite Xmen and Harry Potter at Universal Studios. My next vacation must be kid free....actually scratch that it must be a spa vaction, maybe even a yoga retreat. A trip that I can actually relax and not think of work.

These photo's were taken about a month or two ago. I've been dying to share them because it was such a fun shoot and my inspiration was one of my favorite bloggers. (check her out here Stylorectic)
I totally love her style, wrinting, and overall blog! I chose this one piece because I believe there is something effortlessly sexy and chic about black one pieces, especially high cut. Not only is it flattering on all figures I also believe a little modesty can be sexy sometimes. I am all fo the string bikini, but sometimes a one piece can accentuate all the right curves.
